Z3 Coupe uglier than a bread van?

The car may be great,it may appeal to many people and everyone has a right to their own opinion, but as a design, aesthetically it has flaws and this is simply because it does not have design integrity. It is basically a completed design exercise which has subsequently been altered 'on the cheap'! If BMW had decided in the first place to create a Z3 Coupe rather than the open top, there is no way it would have looked like the Z3 Coupe that we have.

Aesthetically the roadster has as many visual flaws as the Coupe. There are some really poorly designed features on the roadster that bother me, most likely due to the time pressure to throw it together quickly to get it to market. Both are stunning in their own way, and I'd own both if I could.

Nothing is perfect, but I don't see an awful lot to criticize aesthetically about the exterior of the roadster. Yes, some may say that a 'retro' design lacks integrity, but you can argue that, by definition, a soft top roadster is a retro design . Accepting the retro look, the overall balance and proportions of the roadster as well as details such as light clusters , grills etc, are well executed. Any faults it has are certainly exacerbated by the addition of a metal shed on the back!=))
Why do I feel more bricks coming my way??????

I've now decided fire is too quick and will resort to stoning you to death and that's not the herbal kind!

Would you happen to own a copy of the Z3 book ?

@Ontiken1 clearly has no taste when it comes to Coupes!!!
Metal shed?? @Ontiken1 get to Specsavers mate =))

As I've said before , the Z4 Coupe is a very tidy design. If it was not conceived in tandem with the Z4 Roadster design it was remarkably well resolved. The Z3 Coupe on the other hand is well reviewed by Jamezee at the start of this thread.
Bit slow off the mark there Stacey, I was expecting a slap off you from the start!=))
I do like a bit of banter and anyway I still like your Dakar M best of all.:)

I did like both the Z3 and Z4 coupe, however, in the name of banter;

They're growing on me as time goes by but at the moment I prefer the roadster, then roadster with hard top

'It's unusual shape is a masterpiece'? Is that a typing error? Sure you don't mean 'mistake' or 'mishap'??
Sorry,but can't resist a bit of controversy =))
@Jamezee started something here didn't he????
This will roll on pointlessly like the Brexit thread! As somebody rightly said,'It wouldn't do for us all to like the same things'.

He'll be back Mozz, around Christmas time =))

Tony.

Look, I'm never wrong, so it's me and Jamezee against the world and my wife!!!=))
You obviously know what you are talking about and have good taste as you also drive a 2.2i sport as i do
