Hi everyone

Happy to report the work is completed with all objectives checked.

My mechanic, Peter, took about 10 hours over the course of two days to replace the trailing arms, wheel bearings, disc backing plates and handbrake shoes.* An induction heater was used to tackle the notorious bolt(s) that I've read about and observed other forum members vanquish with significant effort and skill. Hat's off to everyone who take on this challenge, it is amazing and much satisfying to see to completion!

Waxoil treatment (hot) applied via spray, after much wire brushing (manual + drill attachments).

MOT passed earlier this Monday 27 Jan, after a tyre change and a quick handbrake cable adjustement. :")

Aimimg to continue corrosion removal/preventative actions later this summer.

Thank you again for all your help and support, safe travels to all and here's to a prayer for spring!

Hello!

Look forward to an oil/filter change and complete set of brake discs and pads when I come back from holiday - parts ordered via autodoc, very decent prices.

I'm also looking to replace both original rear wings due to rust - found one (driver's side) here but still looking. Any suggestions? Also, would they both fit in the passenger's side area if I were to drive and get them from somewhere? :)

Thank you!

You will be safe to have a long holiday, as Autodoc ain't the fastest at delivering.

Those sills looks evil. :(

The reality of a Z3 in 2025. 10 hours was a very good effort for all that work though and it's a big chunk of maintenance in one go.
