Driving in London today is nothing like it was 40yrs ago. When I'm working from our London office I try my best not to drive anywhere. If it's not accessible by public transport then I'll cadge a lift off one of our local engineers. As long as you don't have to park the car and you don't venture into the centre you don't have to pay anything, but the constant stopping and starting and insane congestion isn't a good experience

I know Lincoln can't compare to London, but I detest even going into town at weekends especially at Christmas time. I couldn't live there it would drive me nuts. I guess I'm spoiled by where Iive now, (for the past 38 years) and only moved 2 miles to be where we are now. Where Sean lives is pure paradise, the only fly in the ointment could be a bad winter with heavy snow, but how often does that happen?

I'm pretty sure the London air pollution is bad ,yep I'm sure standing traffics a factor, but the poor motorists get punished again ,ohh didn't no body mention there's an in airport in the centre off London,,called city airport,I bet that really helps the air quality ,NOPE not one word off it mentioned ,what a farce!!!

Only 40 types of aircraft allowed to fly into there and that includes private planes.
