The scale is slightly different between Cambridge and London
It's a start though. What else have they done about it in the last 10 years apart from charge more?
They are cheaper than a Taxi over here though...
Last time I had to go to that shitt hole, they told me to get the train from Heathrow, sod that, got a taxi straight into the center.

But to stay on topic, why don't they run them on LPG?
All the City Bus kit runs on that over here.

Get up early, arrive before the congestion charge kicks in and leave after it ends. Roads are much clearer then. You just get a little tired.

I didn't realise there was a "time slot" for the congestion charge, but I haven't driven in central London since 1975.

, I use to drive all through London for work but I would'nt go near there now , I just hope other towns & cities don't look at this and start rubbing there hands to gether ,its about time we had a political party for the car driver to look after our interests as we generate a fortune for the goverment in Taxes. Rant over !

We are off to London Friday evening to see our son, taking the car as 4 of us are going + the dog so wish us luck. We are not going near the centre so charges won't apply.
Son drives from Putney to Wembley every day takes about 45 mins.so as long as you avoid the centre not too bad.

Best of luck with that Brian. I used to do Brentford, Hammersmith and Chelsea quite often. Always a nightmare. Sunbury not too bad. Croydon - Lost the will to live.
