Why I don't want to visit London.

God I hate the place, I used to have to to London for meetings and would never consider taking the car, it was always train and tube, I detested it, I live in the sticks,it was a deliberate move 8 years ago and the best thing we have ever done for our family, we have a wonderful life out here.

I hate the place, had not been there for years until I was summoned for a meeting in 2010, what a dump.
I am spoiled over here with Amsterdam and such.
Rotterdam is a pigsty though.

Using the T-charge checker, not only is my 2011 VW diesel exempt, and also my 2002 Z3, but even my 1969 MGBGT and my 1977 Triumph Dolomite are exempt. You wonder what cars will be charged.

I put my 2003 3.0 Z4 in and it's not. When I tested it the emissions said it runs on fumes.

Certainly don't turn off their engines while waiting for clients. I read somewhere that a stationary car idling for 1 minute produces enough co2 to fill 100 balloons. Which was a shock to me so I now turn off my engine at traffic lights!

I drive into the city every day a 13milr trip and takes around 75mins in the morning and that's leaving at 6am and about 2hrs average getting home but if Blackwall tunnel screws up it can take 3hrs. I drive a Berlingo diesel van that is a 13 plate so not too long out of warranty. There is an area I was recently working in just around the back of Baker st and the parking had a 30% surcharge because my van is pre 2015 it was £7.30 an hour absolutely rob you blind. I hate London with a passion and plan on moving out.

This is bloody silly. My 2001 MC (3.2 litre, 20/24 mpg) is exempt, my 1997 Z3 (1.9 litre, 38 plus mpg) is subject to it.

The looneys have taken over the asylum.

@Redline Very true.. I try to avoid driving in London but a lot of my work is in the areas most people hate to drive in. Carrying test equipment on the underground is a no no.. its a pain.. So you just have to take it on the chin and pass on the cost to the client. Who will then put it on the cost of the beer and food. lol. Its that simple.
