Looks like Bella had a good meal! Hopefully didn't damage her paintwork.
I managed to get some top down driving on the way home yesterday as it brightened up when I got back into Nottinghamshire.
Don't think so mate, need to wash her after the school run, and get that info for you, then see.

Edit: post wash a small chip on the bumper, left fog light lose, left wheel arch liner needs putting back into shape and exhaust heat shield needs a look at

Just showing a mate as work Tracey, he went past you just afterwards. Police were still there. Small world.

Tony.
I was still in the car a good 30 minutes after it happened and then sat in the ambulance fur the same amount of time or longer as two local A&Es wouldn't take me - had to go to Doncaster.

That's a hell of an off mate! Any intrusion of the engine into the cockpit? The important bit looks like it's done it's job very well mate
No, nothing in the cockpit (if you don't count the small twig that came through the smashed driver's door window and cut my ear!), the pedals didn't even move.

@Wilko58 glad to hear you're alright, that's the main thing.

Sorry to hear that the car is looking like a write-off. Any chance of resurrection?
Don't think so, see latest pictures, worse than I thought.

You hear stories about emergency services arguing who's going to deal with things leaving the casualty abandoned - you've confirmed that!

It was recovered by the insurance company yesterday - the photos above were from the recovery operator. I think it's being taken to their depot and then to the nearest approved repair centre for an assessment report.

Probably worth buying back from the insurance company just for parts.

I can imagine the conversation...

Has he got webbed fingers... no not ours mate.. ( Fenns / Lincoln )

Has he got six fingers and two thumbs... No not ours either.. ( Nottinghamshire )

Sounds like a Doncaster job to me..

Glad you are ok Tracey and you will be back I am sure in a zed. But not that one.

Whereabouts did it happen? Sounds like they were arguing between Mansfield and Doncaster. In all honesty, you were probably better off going to Doncaster purely for it's public transport links for getting home.

Also it can depend on where the ambulance crew were from. Crews from North Notts don't care for going to Mansfield because they can then end up getting sent further into the East Mids region. Doncaster is off area so once they've done there, they're closer to base.

Hi Keith ( @Keet ),

The ambulance crew were great but not sure where from. They were turned away from the two nearest A&Es (I think they that's what they said) so we went to Doncaster. I think they were maxxed out as after being initially seen and monitored by a student nurse for about 30 minutes I was taken into another area and seemingly forgotten about! The first doctor I saw eventually reappeared apologised and said I should have had an x-ray an hour ago! Despite having a small cut on my ear and head caused by a twig it was looked at or washed out and I really should have had a CT Scan for abdominal injuries.

As it turns out, I had a CT Scan at my local A&E on Thursday (they couldn't understand why I hadn't had one at Doncaster) and it found two broken ribs!

It was at the first roundabout on the A57 Worksop ByPass https://maps.windows.com/?form=WNAMSH&collection=point.53.328535_-1.154802_A57, Gateford, S81 8 just come off the roundabout and just straightening up on the dual carriageway.

So glad to hear you are (more or less) OK, although two broken ribs sounds painful.
Hope to meet up with you again at The White Swan next year in your new zed.

Oh dear that’s not what we all wanted to hear Wilko, take it easy and get yourself 100% before doing anything that might set you back. Shame the NHS is in such state that they can’t get the things that they are trying to do right. Get well soon.

RHA,Roy.
