Little update

The "friend" who was supposed to be doing my roll cage has let me down and decided he doesn't WANa do it

This has ment Iv not been able to compete in rd1 if drift cup and it's looking unlikely to be able to make it into rd 2 now

Oh well can't let that keep a man down , I got the car back decided to paint it and take it drifting at santapod

Lost my air filter so had to borrow this stupid ram air one lol

Here's a video of it drifting in the dry at santapod

Unfortunately didn't have enough grip to catch up to this monster onevia Nissan but that's the next project

Looks great Tommy! And that vid is right on and looks like a heck of a bunch of fun. Too bad about the cage, I know you were thrashing away to be ready for the first event. Obviously the guy really isn't much of a friend. JIM

Haha I found it at the end , I actually ran it over on the lap after it fell off and woundering what the hell was that in the middle of the track lol. I have actually got a custom cages cage and I'm going to get a coded welder to weld it in

Will that be a 6point cage or an 8 point?
Looks like your seats are quite low. As you might have seen on the other topic, i am doing my racing seats, but they don't seem to be as low as yours.
How did you fit them?

These are on e36 side mount rails that are slightly extended and moved and re drilled to fit the z3 mountings , right PITA. Tbh stormy but it'll be worth it in the end

I assume you'll end up loosing the soft top with the cage fitted?
They are designing it so that the cage is low enough to have the soft top on , but I'm not having it so the roof comes down just do I'm able to take it off the rear of the cage will go near the rear shock turrets

Good to see this moving along!
Looks like serious fun!

Just saw you mention the burst radiator...whilst you at it check your thermostat housing, mine has just cracked. It was an OEM plastic unit that was replaced about 5yrs ago and still cracked..pretty common along with all the other bits that go on the cooling system..
I'm refitting an OEM one as I can't wait for an aluminum one from US to turn up but I'd think you be better if with an aluminium housing for it.

Out if interest what sort of cooling fans are you running?
