@Tommy Bates and @Daz3 can I ask about the Wideband kits and your experience using them, and please excuse this if this becomes a daft question.

First, my understanding;
The Innovate Wideband systems monitor, display and log the fuel air ratio in the exhaust gas.
The logging function intended for after the event analysis to tweak maps even.
But the vehicle already has a Narrowband sensor fitted which tweaks the fuel/air ratio "on the fly".

So, if the existing Narrowband is attempting to "tweak" the map as it goes, are you using the Wideband to basically monitor if the existing Narrowband control of fuel supply is not coping whilst on the road,?

And, if using to calculate map adjustments, do you disable the Narrowband so that the Wideband then measures relative to the basemap?

And and, as you are running boost, do you monitor knock in a similar way or do you rely on the re-mapping to control that?

Great question, I Was unsure aboutthe same thing until I did this ,

Basically the cars narrow band sensor will only work in a certain rev range and only has a very small influence on changing the standard Ecus afr and once you wire the injectors to stand alone (into a piggyback) like I have it can't make any adjustments, (their for I no longer have the standard narrow band sensor) the innovate wideband only monitors the afr and brings it up on a gauge so you can tweek the map accordingly under different load and rev ranges so that you have a nice fuel curve , you can also wire this up to your piggy back or stand alone Ecu so you can keep a log of your afr on the Ecu log window , however it is just purely a log, it will not make any fueling changes automatically

thank you @Tommy Bates I did wonder if there was a software limit to the effect of the standard narrowband sensor, and by basically disabling it, it makes the mapping more critical.

Just thinking out loud, if you used one of the analog outputs from the Innovate, could you drive an additional injector controller, and fit a 7th injector between the throttle body and the inlet manifold to give real time mixture correction?

340 BHP, Tommy only another 160 to find then!!!

Mike

I think the 500 aim is to high when just using a piggy back for fueling and mechanical boost controll , I think 400 would be achieved with a better wastgate and electronic boost controller

Do you still run the ccv or deleted it? Also do you have any oil leaking out the filter?
I believe the m50 non vanos only have the rocker cover breather and that goes in the inlet after the maf , all I'm running into the boost pipes is the idle control valve

Wow that looked very dramatic Tommy, looks like the extra power will come in handy. Donuts will be no problem at all. The car will spit out ///Ms very easily. LOL
