Oh, one of the shoes fitted. Those little pins with the springs were a nightmare!
I'll take your word for it Tony, at one point I nearly had to get my angry jumper on, even shouting very loudly had no effect .Once you get the springs on and the adjuster between the shoes the hold down pins are a doddle.
Tony.
All done mate, haven't taken her out for a run yet though as the weather is pants. I'll see how I've done at my MOT when I get her booked in. Only one advisory lady year, which I've had done, so touching wood. My wing man let me down though as he didn't get out of bed 'till about 2pmDid you remember to fit the shorter pin to the front of the calliper ? Joking... but I bet you were thinking for a moment then..
It's easy but fiddly plastics etc..did it once as I had the wipers off. Have a vacuum cleaner ready to clean out the area properly.Fitting a new pollen filter to the Galaxy tomorrow, looked in 'tinternet, how hard can it be
Great links @Dino D , many thanksIt's easy but fiddly plastics etc..did it once as I had the wipers off. Have a vacuum cleaner ready to clean out the area properly.
Also good time to check your suspension top mounts - water collects on them and corrodes them nicely..I wore brushed and painted them for a bit more life.
Here is a link to a great forum!that covers pretty much all things you'll need to know about the MK2 galaxy.

This is a link to the guide I used to sort out the wipers (slow and not making a full sweep)

Best not do this job if it's pouring with rain in case you run into problems and can't get the wipers going again! Unlikely as its a simple job but you know s@&t happens at the most inconvenient times!
Thanks @Dino D, blead it to death before it went in with no differance. Mechanic blead it also. I'll try the raising the front thing as you suggest. Very tepid on tick over at best on full heat and nice and toasty when driving.Good job on the cooling system. Check or delete that viscous fan..
My bet is still air in the system for the tepid heater.
Bleed and fill, bleed and fill and bleed and fill again (!) Raising the front a bit helps too apparently.
Standby for bone question, but is that behind the centre consul?Heater valve sticking
Thanks, I'll see what Google has to say.I'm pretty sure it's somewhere inaccessible
That's something I have to do on mine, don't forget to check the filler plug cap will undo before draining the old stuff. So, had this lot put in today, which is nice.

Had them adjust my handbrake to as I'd lost the will to live trying myself. I now have a fully operational handbrake for the first time in 15 months, which is nice too. All bushes, springs and shocks checked and all good which must mean that the tramlining is down to the tyres? Bridgestone (on the front) and only 12 months old. On the down side, the radiator has sprung a small leak, this is not good for the "Bella" fund but on the upside I get a new radiator. Every cloud.
Oh, the Boss 'ain't happy this is a VERY bad thing
Only a mile back to home mate but I'll take her out for a long spin when time permits and report back mate.Any noticible difference in the drive Andy after diff and gearbox oil being refreshed or not enough distance to tell ?
