Susan's Z3 sub box.

Great looking job Roy, and thanks.;);)

Just as well your wife wasn't at home or your head would be in the sink!:nailbiting: The finished job looks so neat!!

Hi Roy what did you use to colour match where you filled in the push button holes?

If you look carefully there's a line at top of port going across the oddments box and the leatherette actually covers to the top of where the switches were mounted. The whole black covered OEM Odd/box is velcro'd on with a push fit port so it comes away to allow future mantainance and removing speaker box. See pics:

Your eyes are telling you the truth but the brain interpreted the more obvious. It's a human sight verses brain trait.I built it and even I had to look twice.

That does look really nice mate.

A really nice neat Job there Roy, by the looks of those speakers we'll be able to hear you coming from the next village.

Thanks Tony, shame the door card didn't come out as good. The speaker grills came this morning from the USA and I ordered two just in case, that's why the bottom one isn't fixed yet, wasn't 100% sure if it would look ok, now I'll Velcro it in its position that way I'll be adle to get to the port behind it if needed. Looking at the wiring I think thus far has been the easy bit.

Don't be fooled by the bottom grill it's there only to hide the hideous looking port, it won't be that loud it's only a mid range woofer, don't need my fillings shaken out.=))
Roy.

I dunno Roy I thought you did a smashing job of the port, but if you want to just hide the port or stop debrie going into it have you considered a tweeter grill that just covers the port?
Haven't honestly thought it through Althulas and the present grill is only just sitting there, may go down the smaller grill route yet but I really don't want to see the port it's too ott for me. I must admit I do like these grills and they are a matching pair. I'll look on the net to see what's available but don't hold your breath cos I had to get these from USA ,couldn't find anything I liked in the UK.
Rha, Roy.
