Found more retardery tonight. Hood is wired to the lighter

They've put the switched ground (brown/orange) to the lighter so I'm guessing the end position micro switch has had it.

I ve done the engine, sorting the body work out, still got the exhaust to go and now the electrical gremlins are stepping in. Roof has been working fine, today doesn't want to know and every light is on the dash despite the battery being on trickle charge and has full power enough to start the car. I took the key out disconnected the battery and come back in doors.

Found this idiot had wired the roof to the lighter to bypass the brake switch so you could open the roof whilst driving. Loving this retards safety first attitude

But you only need to press the brake pedal enough to illuminate the brake lights to.open the roof anyway. I used to open my Z3 roof while rolling up to the roundabout as I left work.

That's so he could use it as a parachute and not touch the brakes!

All fixed now. Took out the amateurish wiring to the lighter and connected the original wires back up. Moved the button to the dash whilst I was at it too.

Electrical gremlin work today. Fixed the roof, new airbag module, added heated seats and a new loom for the driver's seat with a new socket.

Airbag system is now fixed and everything works as it should. No more airbag light and it's not bodged either.

Changed the seats, new module and new seatbelt pretensioners.
Changed the binacle too because it had been hacked at and it seems they'd broke some things in it.
