I'm finding facelift models on a whole can be a headache for parts.

Tempted to buy one from eBay from Lithuania just to get it back on the road again.
I've built most the car back up from parts from either Lithuania or Schmeidmann in Denmark.

When I search my partnumber in eBay it brings loads of modules up but non are it when you click on them. 😡

Are all these part numbers usable and what does exchangeable/non-exchangeable retrospectively mean?

Any of top 3 okay. Bottom 3 potentially okay.

I've found one of those 2 numbers:
65776922954 £155 in Canada
65776910677 £66 in Spain.
Apologies. The non exchangeable retrospectively means it can only be used on cars within that date range. Unusual to see that and I missed it.

Even £66 is strong money to me. I’d be hoping for more like £30 ish.

Brilliant thanks for clarifying that.

So my car is November 2001 that means 65776910677 will work then.

£66 is about the cheapest I can find and it is a punt from Spain. Not like I'll be able to ask if it works or if it has been crashed. Suppose there is eBay/PayPal resolution center.

I’d look for people breaking Z3s on eBay first. And ask. You’ll be paying import duty on that from Spain now as well I think.

Yes I will, got collard £55 today for a new pretensioner and some little bits from Schmeidmann today. Still cheaper than buy from BMW.

Good shout on finding a breaker, I'll have a look.

This is proving difficult, all 3 I need are difficult to find. The odd fee that I can find are either around £200 from the US or from sellers in Spain that won't answer the question of if it's from a crashed car or not.
Ones from similar aged breaking cars on eBay are sold or they don't reply. Not looking good :banghead:

I've just sent an instrument cluster off to these people. Do you want me to let you know how it goes? At least one other forum member has used them successfully btw. They might be able to repair your existing module. With the bonus of telling you if it's really that which is knackered.

If it could be fixed that would be amazing. I thought non-communication was terminal.

I'm open to all ideas. Must admit I'm begrudged to buy an eBay unit from abroad where it could have similar issues.

I've found a module at last and the same part number too. On Facebook of all places.

However there are some connectors going to nothing about and they look like they could be missing sensors. The side impact sensors have definitely been removed.
Are there any other sensors I need to be looking out for?
Can only find side on original OEM.

Bought one last night.
But I get the feeling they'll be more stuff I need.

This car should have stayed as a scrapper but I couldn't bare to see another one off the road.
Not long now and it'll be good.

Yep, side impact sensors are missing. Is there a front one somewhere?

6908896 is the one I want. I'm thinking of having that off you so I have a back up. Do you have a complete set of seats too?

I know that feeling with my 3.0 every time I sort one thing out it bites me with another 2. They say patience is a virtue....it is with a Z3 that doesn't like change lol
