So what does your garage look like?

I wish I had a garage or car port, got a decent size drive which is nice to have.
Been trying to think of ways to build a car port on the drive but not sure on the rules and regs.

Thought about taking the hedge out,put a fence up and then I'd have posts to be able to fit a canopy type of thing.
Open to ideas if you have any thoughts .

Steve.

What i like less about that one is that it is still connected down the middle.
If you need to work at the middle of the car: gearbox, exhaust, brakelines, driveshaft,... doesn't seem easy in that case.
And I would like to have one I can use for everything :-)

Need both kinds of ramp then
Just in case.

You could use it to lift the car up, then put it on stands and take the ramp away again.
That way, no problem with access to the middle of the car.

Just about enough room for my Zed with all the plastic containers I'm hoarding =)) I'm going to have to take some to the tip.

@Bozzy Try this link mate, gives good info but contact your local council first. Shouldn't be an issue.

There is a good 14 inches of clearance above the middle crossmember

What's that leaning up against the wall on the left, home made wind deflector?.....:D

Not quite, it's the grill from my works van, but it could be adapted if the mesh was a bit finer I suppose =))

Now that's a good piece of kit.
Both types look like they have pro's and con's. The issue I have is that you need the width of the car at age side of the car in order to get and slide this frame underneath. If you have a narrow garage you wouldn't be able to use it. You might be able to slide it in under the wheels between the track and spin it into place, but that looks a tight fit at best. The other, while more complex is a little more flexible, but 110v. Would need a step-down transformer to use it over here.

Nothing now, I took it out so that I could get some stuff in and I just haven't bothered putting it back in. It's a Fiesta van and to be honest the cab feels a little cramped with the grill in.

Thanks Andy
That link is very useful and from what I understand from it I should be fine installing a car port/canopy.....which would make life so much easier.
Would be able to work on/ wash the cars even when it's raining.
I trust you've got back to Blighty ok then ?

I was thing radiator grill - Doh!
Think I'd rather have something between me and the stuff in the back. Would;t want it joining me up front.
