Mike & Sandy I love your babies!!

I wish I had a garage for felix :D we have a lovely big long drive that fits 5 cars on, but it's no good when it's raining for tinkering with felix on (as @Aceman and I discovered last week) and it's definitely not good in winter!!

This was always one of my favourite threads on the site and so I looked it up to see what was going on.

Since I started it way back my garage has morphed out of control! At the time I'd started collecting old garage and car related signs and would fix them up and mess about making them work. Rewire and making broken bits where needed.

I've spent the last 4 months stripping a car down ready for spraying and the place has been totally neglected since I started. The car went away a couple of weeks ago and I had a little spare time yesterday. I had a clear out and made some progress, but still lots to do. But just before I came up I took a few pictures. So forr your amusement.... So this is my garage now...... At the flip of a switch it's instant Christmas!

I sort of got carried away!

:)

What a man cave @Rev ! A very pleasant place for a petrol head! I would prefer that place to any living room at anytime!

I remember when a friend of mine, from Belgium, visited me for one day, we spent the whole time in the garage, except a very short break for lunch! My wife was furious and told me that I was totally crazy and impolite to keep my guest the whole day, in the garage!
Very hard to convince her that we couldn't even finish the chat we want to have in this short time...

@miller1098 you are excused , because we saw the other architectural achievements! I'm sure that when the lodge will be ready for guests, you will find time for the garage too! keep up the good work Hugh!

Yes, a real petrolhead , but for '20s-'30s Ford! Nevertheless I tried my luck and around midnight I took him in a Bucharest city tour, with the Zed and he was delighted. Who knows maybe there is a chance to become a Zed owner!?

Good thing that people can't see that from the street. They would be pulling into your driveway for gas. Frankie

I'm without a garage at my home and have never had one but my son who lives three properties from me has a 30'x54' metal shop that I'm insulating and hopefully panelling this summer. Has a set of huge sliding doors on one end which makes it very bright to work in the summer. Has very minimal electrical but I have two generators and hope to have it hooked to the power grid this summer. Unfortunetly my poor health the past several years has made progress very slow and allowed my wife to clear our home of a lot of stuff that she sent to the shop with my son. Walked in to find that there wasn't enough floor space available for Trinity so it sits with it's keepers till spring and I can get in to clear the shop out! Next major purchase will be an overhead lift. Wish me luck!! JIM image.jpg
