Those little single seaters are death traps. The open wheels mean that any contact between the cars wheels can flip them. Because the cars are so light the revolution of the wheels causes the cars to turn over. The report says they were doing low speed, but that doesn't matter, they are dangerous.
I have friends that will race 200mph plus cars but would not race in those.
It's strange how health and safety in the UK today is so oppressive with such substances as bleach, but no one bans those. Odd.
He would have been well aware of all those facts but the joy of racing would have been to his very core. He obviously died doing what he loved and adored. They are a car that would thrill and be a great pleasure to race.
Condolences to his family, as those are the guys that will suffer his loss.
