Serious Jockin'

Cheers Mike, plans are a shapin' :)

Enjoy, if that's the right word, your last day at (paid) work Tony. You'll very soon be in the ranks of the unpaid worker. Welcome:whistle:

Cheers mate.:)

Tony.

You will get there tomorrow and just for your retirement, there will be balloons, decorations, cakes and a big party. All they hope, is that you don't change your mind....
=))
In a parallel universe, perhaps Pete:D

Thanks Mark, i hope it is a good day.

Tony.

What would you do if they asked you to come back 2 or 3 days a week once you've sampled being a house husband ?

That's crept up quickly mate! Good luck on your last day and get enjoying the next chapter

Cheers Andy, I sure hope to mate:thumbsup:

Subject already been broached Garry, and I told him that they couldn't afford to pay me enough. The reason being ..............................

Great answer Tony:thumbsup:

Common sense Dave, if they were paying me enough to put up with the place and people I wouldn't be leavin';)

It must be horrible working a job that you don't enjoy for whatever reason and I can fully understand you wanting to finish.

I'm really lucky that I enjoy doing what I do, and for some weird reason I really don't want to stop working. We have the option to reduce our hours if we want to, but as long as my eyesight remains good and I can still get up and down ladders I hope to carry on for a while yet. Mind you, my retirement date is 15th April 2023 so I've got 4 and bit years to go yet.

I understand you're going 3 years early and I really hope you enjoy your new found freedom, once you've worked your way through Shirl's list =))

Hope you have a great last day Tony. Don't forget to take it all in though, you never know, you might miss it in the future. Good luck mate.

Thank you Phil, and you could be right. Time will tell.:)

Not having to get up at a certain time for work was one of the best things about retirement!

Mrs Bonzo and I have breakfast in bed...... And sometimes we have a little snooze afterwards!

So here I am, home from my last day at work and what a send off I was given.
Here's a picture of all I received after 16 years work.
