Seriously though, it's great, I'm doing so much leisure stuff now that sometimes I look forward to the odd day off when Mrs Bonzo and I are not doing anything, either separately or together, so that we can have a lay in and not do anything in particular.;)

Well done Tony on your pending retirement. Every day is like a Sunday. You will be able to choose the best time each day to go zedding and not have to worry about peak hour traffic. ENJOY !!

Well done Tony. Its a big step and not one i have regretted personally.

Leaving on good terms works. I actually went back to a previous employer on contract for a few months. In my terms though :)
 
Not long to go now. I was asked to return my work clothes, ie. work trousers, tee-shirts and sweat shirts, on Monday when I got to work today. Are they really so desperately hard up? Not that I'm overly keen to have the reminder, what with the Company logo on them all anyway.
Got to make room in the Shed for my big tool box now which means the fridge/freezer has to go, but that entails fitting a S/H side load door on Gary's Crafter and one rear door as they're clogging up HIS garage where the fridge needs to go. Think we'll need a hand to change those, they're pretty big and heavy although we managed the side load door on his old T4 and there hangs another tale. Notice of eviction has been served =))

Doesn't matter, you will no doubt have bought the "retirement uniform"
Beige slacks, tank top, moccasins and cardigan. oh and the beige wind cheater jacket and flat cap.

Firm I worked for would charge £80 if you didn't return company uniforms on leaving employment , this would be deducted from last pay check ,
I asked HR one time if I could give all the returned uniforms ( shirts, trousers,jumpers)to a charity and was told NO as most had company logo and only company employees should wear these sports they stayed in the cupboard gathering dust
 
All the best for tomorrow Tony, I found my last day a bit weird. Did my own exit interview, Handed the exit form ID and van keys over quick hand shake and that was that, never been one for a lot of fuss.
