Sean d progress thread

Starting to take shape now Sean. Those headlight adjusters are fun.

Tony.
I think I inadvertantly moved them all when I took the lights out, I really enjoy the rebuilding and really like to take my time as its a crucial time and will have a huge impact on the finished article, I

Forgot to add, I'll be painting the doors, boot lid and gills tomorrow, The bumpers will be painted on Xmas eve and then I have got to take 2 bloody days off to do the xmas stuff with the family, I'll be climbing the walls.

Did the A posts as well

I would say you move pretty fast, Sean!
I will be much, much more slower...
Keep up the good work!
Dan

It is a good thread jack your quite right! Enjoying seeing the progress. Keep it coming Sean.

Thanks for the kind words guys, had another 10 hours today, I stayed late to make up for the approaching holidays,
Got the doors boot lid and gills done and had a little bit of fun with the grill, I'm not one for badging cars incorrectly but I thought it was screaming out for something. the jury is still out as I am not quite sure. constructive critisism will be taken on the chin.

Interesting and new...I think never saw it before! Could it be a premiere?

Awesome! Sean, that is a quality job, I can't wait to see it when it's completed mate. You will be making a lot of people green with envy I reckon.

Tony.

ps. Undoubtedly there will be comments re the grille, personally I think a subtle touch such as that is fine, purists may disagree.

Thanks Tony, I think I will leave the grill until the car is done and if I'm still not sure its easy enough to paint it black again

Looking good Sean. I think you will have loads of Zeds queuing up at your workshop over the next few years. Top quality work you are doing. Did you fit angel eyes when you detangoed your headlights?

No mate, I didn't fit the angel eyes, I am saving a few things to do once its complete, I don't want to do it all at once,

Today didn't go as planned due to the fact that I went for a wee last night and my wife found me on the bathroom floor, I had collapsed and couldn't move and could only just speak, she called me an ambulance and it took 30 mins for them to stabilize me as my pulse was 39 and was bradycardic, never felt so bloody cold, I am normally fit and healthy with no conditions whatsoever, by the time I got to hospital I was feeling lots better, just tired, anyway at 4am they sent me home, no signs of heart attack, apparently the condition is quite common in men, when we go to the toilet our body has to relax and mine had just gone to far, therefor I didn't go to work today until 9.30, my plan was to paint the bumpers but I didn't feel up to it so I got the doors and boot lid flatted and polished, did a bit of tinkering and I had had enough by 3 so only about 5 hours on it today.
Also started to look at the hood, it is totally porous and dirty with some green stuff growing on it, I have some cleaning gear but can you reccommend a good water proofer,

I have promised the wife that I will have the next 4 days off and will get back on it next Tuesday.

Bloody hell! Take a rest mate, found my mum slumped in a similar way recently, very scary.

Glad you're feeling better

Hi, can be a drop in blood pressure quite common but scary. Take it easy over the next few days and enjoy the time relaxing.

Andy

Take a well earned rest Sean, and take next stage of your project in steps. Enjoy the break - your work is outstanding!:)

That's nature telling you to ease up bud. The car can wait, we can wait even longer. I had heart surgery 8 years ago and from experience all I can say is have a rest for a few days and forget the car for now, it isn't going anywhere Sean. Merry Christmas.

Tony.
