I used to do painting years ago with cellulose, you didn't need much heat to dry it. None in the warmer weather.

Good old celly, been a lot of years since that was on the go, I cut my teeth on acrylic, I can't abide water base, so bloody poncy , has to be sprayed in a booth at 24 degrees, the base coat is more of a dye, just like ink really, so the final prep has to be very fine, we do a lot of brand new cars and the colours are only available from our water based mixing scheme, if I could I would go back to acrylic

Hi and welcome. Interesting read . Looks as if sills need checking mine were a bit rusty and another here had a patch put in so a weak point hiding behind the cover and the plastic jacking points.

Brian, there is a small gap between the outer sill and the chassis, this allows dirt to build up and it gets trapped around the plastic jacking points, it acts like a sponge and holds water

How long have you had the Z Sean, it's just that it reminds me of one I saw when out for a Sunday lunch with three of the guys off this forum a few weeks ago. It was near Gainsborough though. It had the same tags above the side gilles.

No Dave, it was when Ant, Andy, Roy and me went to the Rose and Crown at Upton, we passed it when we all went for the run. We met a couple there with that car, nice pair from Yorks.

I think it too much of a coincidence guys, the guy I bought the car from lives in Barnsley and his partner lives in Gainsborough, what a small world we live in,
