There's many things i could guarantee but the 1 thing got no chance of a guarantee with is the weather.
This is Scotland every day is a weather lottery.
All i can say Andy is
It will be great come rain or shine that i will commit to.
I feel your pain Steve living in the wettest County in England, those Lakes don't get filled by magic. No such thing as bad weather, just innaproprite clothing :)

Inappropriate clothing and roads that aren't straight enough to let you drive fast enough to stop the rain getting in when the roofs down =))

Just a little update hoping to have the route and hotel details up in the next few weeks .
Looks like our base for the weekend will be Pitlochry when i last spoke to Dave @Redsheep a week or so ago he was in discussions with a couple of hotels in that area trying to get a deal based on the fact there is a few of us .
He told me the route for Day 1 is pretty much sorted i have a route for Day 2 all mapped out just need to run it past Dave and roadtest it to see if it needs tweaked any.
I am going to start another thread up with a Friday run from Glasgow (or further south) to the hotel i have several routes already put together all depends on who was joining me and where they had came from that day .
The shortest route from Glasgow ( boring motorway / dual carriageway) is 87 mile aporox 1hr 40 min i have a few nicer routes only add about 30 mile but all but double time.
Stephen.

Probably get there late Friday evening for me. Need to fly in to Newcastle then drive home and pick up Bella and say hello to the family first. 3hr 37min run up so that's OK.

Yes cant wait .
And the great thing about up here is we could do this another 5- 6 years at least have some really nice areas to see yet never cover the same bit twice soo many great places to be going to visit although some of the more out the way places would require a bit more planning and limit on numbers due to remote locations and limited accommodation in some of these places.

A run like that we would need to be mobile accommodation wise ( no base) as it would be too difficult to put together a circular route. Plus say you were talking about a start somewhere like Inverness that can easy be a 4 hr drive from Glasgow on its own .

Hello everyone,

A quick update.....

We are on the verge of securing a hotel base (which I assure you is not easy in Pitlochry, given the tourist market) at a very reasonable rate and it’s got a hot tub, pool & gym, so mind your dookers.
Day 1 will be published very soon and Chris @Sully, will be letting you know about day 2 thereafter.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a site I can share the route, as the best I can get is google and I can’t seem to save & share.

Dave.

Hi everybody

Sorry I’ve not been on, have had issues accessing the site and we’ve also been busy organising our wedding & honeymoon. We’re working on the route for Day 2 and will get details of this posted soon. Again, sorry guys but we really want to make it another great Scottish run, we know you all love them as we do.

Hi everybody, got a rough route for Day 2 ready which will take in a good deal of Perthshire & Tayside, the gateway to the highlands. Will share this with you all once finalised!

"My Routes" works well plus you can invite other members to share your routes plus its very easy to create routes
