in hope this sun stays out we spent half an hour at kwikfit for the aircon re-gas...all was well.
had a chat with the guy and (i always thought it was a myth) he told me that lack of use dries the seals out and this leads to it loosing gas and its best to run it for a while once a month.

Is it all working now Wayne ?

Yep Ian it just needed a top up...he said there was some left in their and its not been used for 9 month so no leaks

You had best leave it on all the time, seriously Swamper, was told by a Merc dealer and have done it for years, no probs..........

have to agree HT if the seals are going to dry out then its best it gets used

hazard switch fell apart the other day...so a new one arrived yesterday..

clutch switch arrived and fitted...talk about backache...it better be worth it..!!!

more parts arriving monday for the cruise control....;)

these arrived today......

seemed to have run into an issue......the stalk has a different connector 8 pin and only has 2 wires runing to the stalk

loom 6 pin

how do i connect the 2.... i take it i have to changed the connectors?

well after all the faffing about i sent the old stalk back to quarry motors and got a refund.
found a new one in Georgia USA and had that sent over.
had the bowden cable shipped in from Germany.
had the plastic flexi nuts flown in from Japan
fitted all the other parts ....all iv got to do now is test the bloody thing :wideyed:
