S50 progress thread..

cheers Brian

it was £39.95....it only takes 20mins but they kept me there an hour talking about the car :))

I shall have to find one locally for my son as he got mugged at tyre fitters. Steering wheel is not in line now after checking his, obviously only adjusted one side!!!!!!!

I have now got to sort it out as he is conveniently off to see his girlfriend in Paris this weekend. Good old Dad.

Does the M drive any better now it's been set up?

Brian

TBH it wasn't that far out but it feels slightly lighter in the steering if that makes sense ?........very pointy

I see they put weights in the boot did they put any in the car ?

and what was the weight they used ?

If you know that is ... :D

they did Stevie and lots of them....10 gallon containers ...but not sure what weight they came in at

iv seen the pics of the coupe and its good...much stronger...just spoke to him on the phone and he knows what hes talking about...so will update this when its done..

so..........i took the M for the boot wields to be done.
when i showed him (like me) he said that it looks like only 2 had popped....but he said the main culprits are underneath the sealer.
i left him with it and went back a few hours later and he'd found 10!....yes 10! that had cracked :-o
so hes removed the old ones and replaced them and seam wielded everything else .....jobs a goodun ;)
this cost me 130 quid.....and now i know its right...money well spent if you ask me ;)

I remember when I was looking for a Z3, the advice was to walk away if the boot welds have gone. If it only costs £130 to put right it can't be that big a deal. Lucky you caught it before more welds started going.........not so cool if the diff and the boot floor part company :-ss

got to be worth a punt to everybody whos concerned about it Pete for 130 quid.

well after an exhausting move over the last coupe of weeks she in her new home.... ;)

Swamper, that is not a garage, its a 'lean to' and your door is not hanging properly.
You should get one of these posters to stick on the garage door for when the roof caves in.......... :ymdevil:

first time iv had a go a sorting the garage out since i moved at christmas....the floor is very dusty so im going to have to paint it but overall its seems to be a good little space to work in ...quite dry..and a little tight in places but ok...sorted the door out for HT ;)

You'll be fine in there. I can see you fitting a heater as well as painting the floor then you can spend lots of time in there tinkering with your Zed ;)

thats the plan Mint ;)

have arriving this week a spare set of rear roadstars fitted with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta...so i have a spare set of rears for track :D
with a set of Continental Sport Contact 3 waiting in the wings that iv just had delivered....need more wheels !

ready for a run out after a little wash..
