just putting the feelers out to see if any interest in a cruise and lunch :eating out with a visit to rockingham castle .
looking around sunday 9th june.

hi folks just a little update so far
we are thinking of meeting at the best western three swans at market harbrough
then a 20 mile cruise around the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire countryside (thoughts on the the cruise mileage)more or less???
arriving at rockingham castle for a group line up and photos
followed buy lunch and a trip around the castle and grounds.
hows that sound?????

Sounds good here, I will also be bringing along a friend with an Alpina Z4M Roadster.

Just need a time for meet up and a post code / location for meet up as not from the area at all.

Sounds like a great day out Mick and we're looking forward to it. Once you've checked out the timings, if there's any room for it, I'm sure no-one would mind if you extended the mileage - we all love to cruise our Zeds

hi folks caroline and myself have been out on a test run today
so this is what we have planned so far
10:30-11.00 meet @ coach & horses lubbenham tea & coffee

12:00 cruise 25 miles approx though leicestershire/rutland/northamptonshire countryside to sondes arms rockingham for lunch

have spoken to the landlord and he is offering us a two course lunch.£11.95 p/person
soup/main
main/sweet
on sundays he offers 3 roast selections.
topside of roast beef +veg
loin of pork roast +veg
half roast chicken+veg
soup and sweet can be selected on the day
as a bonus on the day the pub is holding a real ale festival
after lunch a short cruise up to rockingham castle.
hope we can park in good place to get some nice pics done.
then walk the castle and gardens.
we found out today that on the day we plan to visit they have a jousting event on :-bd

hope to speak to them tomorrow to sort out the finer points.
afternoon tea is available for those who would like it can be arranged either & rockingham or sondes arms have to speak to rockingham about it but the sondes arms are happy to do it for £4.95 for cream tea or £7.95 tea sandwich/scone but hope to get a deal on this but just have to see how many interested.

Thanks Mick but theres no parking available at that hotel, will checkout some others. pete
