Thanks for the replys everyone...I will stick my head in the MOT place just to check...but if you could keep your eyes open for it turning up..that would be great...I'd rather it be binned than him sell it on ...
Let's hope he reads this..

I hope he doesn't read this as that would mean it's either someone on this forum that attended one of the places you have been or someone that has visited this forum read your thread and has a very good memory recognises your car has a socket set ready gets underneath it in a dirty car park .they must be young and a little fitter than me ,and willing to risk a criminal record for not a lot really ,Who is that desperate ?

Right seeing as the zed roadster community is pretty tight I would assume this was likely stolen for a compact. And seeing as there is a compact Rally team up you neck of the woods this may be a good place to start asking questions. I have sent a feeler out to someone.

@miller1098 I think the criminal record would be the lesser of his worries.. and he might be needing a brace of a different kind if he did get caught by one of us..

I would say it was put on the thief's car rather than sold on, assuming it isn't on a Z - who would check under a car on the off chance they have a butt strut? Disgusting really...

My boss had his wiper blades stolen from a car park, sad state of affairs

Hiya pal..for the life of me I can't see anyone going round cars randomly checking to see who has what under there....but at the Santa pod hotel there was that bunch of youngsters on the car park all night...In bms..so you never know..
The worst thought I have is that it's been spotted on here by someone who knows what they are and how easy it is to get off..less than a minute with a socket!!

It's not the money that bothers me..It's the fact that after all theses years of going out and about ..forgetting all the worries of work and all the laughs we have...iv now got to look over my shoulder to make sure nothing else gets nicked...
I suppose it's the price we pay for having something nice..!!

Lee thanks for the help mate

I hate people that just help themselves to others property that I'd like to fly over and meet that person face to face and rearrange his. What disregard they have for other's hard earned property it makes me sick. JIM

Can't be many Strong Strut braces in the UK..

@gookah: I was thing the same thing but I guess it's one of the parts that ties into together with others and makes incremental improvements.
Probably unlikely to notice it on the motorway (much like expensive suspension) but definitely when you pressing on a less than perfect road...

That's bad luck, sorry to hear that, Wayne.
Do you think that it has been stolen to order, so someone has been looking under each Z3 they come across until they found one! unfortunately, yours was the first they came to!!

I don't know Mike...I hope it was just random....I'm kinda guessing that it was the kids with the 3s...as Brian is right they were leaving empty bottles under the wheels of our cars..
