I assume it just uses the two nuts that hold the rear beam on? I'm thinking who ever took it must have known it was there - b@&tards

Not good swamps I bet the zed isn't the only thing blue at the moment. Was the car left unsafe taking the bolts out if so that's more than just a petty theft charge.

Ian the bolts that hold the brace on are just for the brace....but I will do some nipping up tomorrow

Time to trawl the forums asking for a rear strut brace people.. See if you get offered one.. Then we can all meet up and pay them a visit..

Chap who sold it to me said he found it in the middle of the road. In Mossley I think he said. Where ever that is.
 
@bonzo Some things are funny, but when parts are taken from members of this forums pride and joys.. Its more serious. As our hard work keeping these little babies on the road gets even harder if we have to allow for mindless little petty theft.

I hope it has been taken off in a service / mot and @swamper can get it back. If not it is in all our interests to watch out for parts and such that seem to good to be true being sold and where that source might be from. I am sure if someone started taking your Z3 apart you would be p***** too.

As mentioned above, if we can all be aware and keep an eye out for this and any other part that just does not seem right.
 
There would be no legitimate reason for it to be removed for or during an M.OT. Test as NO dismantling is allowed. As an added extra to the car it is not even included as part of the test either. Hope you discover it's whereabouts.

Swamper, I hope you bear me no malice. I actually am totally disgusted and astounded that such a thing could have happened. I am very sympathetic, we all love our Zeds to bits and I feel your pain. I wasn't making light of all this, just trying ( my wife says I'm very trying! ) to lighten the mood a little. I hope you get it back. Honestly, I sometimes despair of the human race, some people have no morals.
