New garage / garden project

Nice to see something positive come from COVID. Created a good space there.

Thought you’d been quiet - I’ve missed reading your fascinating build instalments. This looks absolutely amazing and your Z is one very lucky car.
I can imagine the rain getting in was gutting but you’re sorted the issue and it really is a great looking Shed. We’ll pop around to yours as soon as we can for a ZedShed day :)

It still took around 3 months, could have been quicker due to postage delays because of COVID. But then again if I was working we would probably only be at a stage of getting the slab laid.

And I know I might be a little harsh to him at times, but I have to say a huge thank you for all the help @gookah has given me along the way.

He's finally perfected the art of sharpening a pencil whilst sitting on his fat backside drinking tea and watching someone do a proper job for a change 😂

Looks great Dave.

Tony.

That post started well, but never mind.....

Anyway, I have to sharpen the pencils, because those round ended scissors won't, and they are the only things I can trust you with.

Only so I don't slash your tyres o_O

That is one smart living space. Only point you may encounter is that after a period of sitting the tyres may pull up the paint off the floor. Aluminium plates on the floor for wheels to sit on stop that.
You both must be really proud of that and a worthy car to reside in it.

Thanks, I am over the moon with it.

Regarding the tyres, I raised them off the floor. I wanted to push them right back but because of the bottom of the frame it meant putting another plank of wood across the front so they sit level. I ended up sitting them on 2 planks front and back, as the back has the bolts holding the frame down so another plank on this with holes cut out for the bolts on top of the bottom beam then 2 across the front. I might get some of them tyre bags to store them in eventually.

I sit mine on a piece of cardboard to store them in a stack with cardboard in between each tyre. And now I'm depressed cos it'll soon be time to put the winter set on.:(:(:(

Tony.

Yeah I have cardboard between mine. Won't be long now until they get swapped over. I hope my summer wheels will fit in that space, they are wider than my winters

I was actually meaning the tyres on the car carrying it's weight.

:banghead: I misunderstood! Yeah if the car is left in there for long periods I'll look at putting something under the tyres. It's not often it will sit it there, maybe 4 or 5 days at most and that will be very rare. I looked at the snap down floor tiles but it's around £400 - £500 to do the lot. I think I will probably get two sections to lay down where the car drives in and out for starters.

what about an update.......... @g8jka

Update is that the roof blew off in the wind and the sides collapsed a couple of days later. Must have been @gookah's dodgy building.

I will update in the next week or so. Just ordered some more lights to fit

well, a positive I can take from that, is that you finally acknowledged that I wasn't just sitting on that chair,

Anyway, wasn't too bad last time I was there
