Just 40 minutes to fit a switch and code it. Clever chap. He also coded a couple of other bits with his Carly too.

Tony.
Did he manage to perform any magic and make the roof come up remotely?

No, not possible. A “Smart Top” module is the only way and they’re almost £400.

Thought that would be the case, but you never know what wizardry some people can do with a tablet or laptop.

On my way down to Grantham yesterday afternoon I had joined the A1 at Newark and around 3 minutes later I saw this on the north bound side

A couple of minutes later it was the same on the south bound carriageway after an accident at Gonerby Moor. I left the A1 at Foston and let Lady Satnag get me to the other side of Grantham.

The last bit of video is for Roy @Rha, as I know he likes this stretch of road, ............ can't think why.;)

Is it more red than in the pics Tony? Do like it think it will look even better in the flesh, love the contrasting mirrors.

Left home for Grantham this afternoon around 2.10, arrived around 4.30 (ish) . 40 minutes later I left for home and arrived around 7.15. The A1 was a nightmare, as were all the local roads and villages. Anyway, the upshot of the trip is I now have Cruise Control on my E89.

Tony.

Don't forget you can close the roof with the key in the drivers door lock, saves you getting back in the car if you have left it down.

I like it! The wheel caps make sense now! How did you do the red colouring: wrap?

It does look better in real life Paul. I really like it. I originally asked about just the roof and the guy at the shop suggested doing the mirrors. I'm glad he did.

Not in mine you can't.

Can't get that to work on ours, does it require the comfort access pack?

Works on all of them. Put the key into the lock, turn the key to lock position and hold. If nothing happens or just the windows go up, unlock with key and repeat, keep the key held in the lock position until the roof has completed the cycle.

No I dont have comfort pack, however there are still options in Carly to change comfort settings and they work without the comfort opening installed, the roof being one of them, I just assumed all e89s were set to active for the roof closing on the key /lock. Takes a few mins to change if you have access to a Carly.
