Not had much time so far on the 4 but just a quick update, two areas done all with no spend, Original Tailpipes dull, dirty and rusty, Taken off spent an hour relaxing whilst scrubbing up, really pleased with result. Could have only got this result on OEM parts.
Tail pipes.jpg

Next job under the bonnett, not too bad under there, strut braces bit tatty paint wise plus surface rust on bonnet catch and slam panel. Rubbed down and painted with engine block matt black, pleased with results, also whilst i had the grills out Struts behind grill in similar condition to strut brace so rubbed down and painted. Engine cleaned with Gunk and the last of Aerospace 303 i had in my bag. Bit more work on the plastics required, although not horrific before, looking a lot tidier under the bonnet.

Thats the none spending jobs so far, now the start of the obligatory spend, OEM Badge and bright grills (as per 3ltr) Will be getting the nose painted at some time but for now a bit of touch up improves things slightly.

Think it will be the interior next, Leather need a good feed!

A number of routine jobs inside and out will see good progress - and you've already started - best of luck and enjoyment with this project!

Bumper booked in next weekend and the dent wizard coming the following Monday. Gave it its first proper clean (Not quite a full detail, save that for after the paint and dents done) Wheels came up OK and excluding the dings and chips paintwork seems in good fettle.

Just my 2 pen'orth and playing devil's advocate but your car is really smart as it is. If you get it totally mint you will worry about it every time you park, every time it rains and all the time it is out of your sight. It might be better to touch up the stone chips, live with the car park dints and spend the dosh on sparkly bits and a fruity pipe?

Know what your saying Lazzzydog, but the dents have to go as do the scrapped alloys and cracked nose. The chips will disappear as i tend to them but it will never be a show car.
