I might send the seller a message and ask if extensive repairs have been carried out to clear all the advisories

as I said earlier, no surprise for it to get a fresh MOT with no advisories.
take it the day after to a different garage and see if it even passes....... let alone have no advisories...

All it takes is a favour owed, or a decent back hander...
I guess when you are in the trade, that's all that's required, a favour owed. Still, he must be nervous of the new owners reaction when he sees that the car is turning orange!

I'd also seen eBay car but as above soon realised it was a whole heap of work and expense. The gum tree car does look exceptional at first glance, but it's a whole litre short of being a 3.0 sport....

It looks amazing, big bucks though, could it rot again if works not been done right?

Unless it's been cut out and repaired it will always come back. Might look amazing on the outside but unless everything underneath has had the proper treatment then someone will have a shock when they find whats below the surface, especially after they dish out 10K thinking they are getting a minter. Shame that someone may get stung if it's not been done properly, which is doubtful judging by the state it was in as it needed a shed load of work and money thrown at it.

Looking at the mot history of this one, wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. Previous advisories indicate rust issues throughout the chassis and body : hope any prospective buyer has the sense to check the history and look over here.

The split rims look like they’ve been refurbed without dismantling. The bolts appear to have been sprayed over.

I’m not inclined to write-off a car for chassis rust advisories any more without seeing it. There’s a new guy at the garage I’ve used for years and he’ll put an advisory down for a few spots of surface rust on eg a trailing arm or axle beam.
