now he wouldn't shill bid as well would he?
I bid on it, put a max of £500 as thats all its worthnow he wouldn't shill bid as well would he?
an upgrade for a 2.2 maybe, the comment was tongue in cheek by the way, even if its f***ed its worth 2kWorth that just to use the engine as an upgrade
Having kept an eye on the Z3 ads now for a couple of years, I'd say that a 3.0 in regular used condition, that is, maintained only so it will scrape through an MOT, is worth £3500. Add to this one, the Dakar paint and the wheels and the sports seats plus the Harman Kardon, I reckon its up to £5000. But the paint will drag it down to the £4000 area.an upgrade for a 2.2 maybe, the comment was tongue in cheek by the way, even if its f***ed its worth 2k
Yes it will probably sell for around the 4k region but its not worth anything like that as it will more then likely need an aweful lot of work, and yes the sport pack adds value but not sure where you get the idea that dakar adds value thoughHaving kept an eye on the Z3 ads now for a couple of years, I'd say that a 3.0 in regular used condition, that is, maintained only so it will scrape through an MOT, is worth £3500. Sadly most buyers don't view the MOT history, nor will they view the underside. For some the underseal will appear as a bonus, plus the view of the new discs through the wheels will seem as everything under the car is new. There's no pics of the interior, so I'm guessing not all is good there either.
Only enthusiast 3.0 owned cars seem to sell over £5000, and any other exceptional 6 cyl cars, 4cyl cars have great difficulty getting over £3000, with most selling around £1500.
So my guess is that this will end up at £4550, and when it finally ends up on the new owners drive, another story will start!
Any other guesses at final price?
Anything with the "individual" tag adds some £££s! Of course it won't appeal to everyone, but it will to some!Yes it will probably sell for around the 4k region but its not worth anything like that as it will more then likely need an aweful lot of work, and yes the sport pack adds value but not sure where you get the idea that dakar adds value though
Is this an individual?Anything with the "individual" tag adds some £££s! Of course it won't appeal to everyone, but it will to some!
I havn't seen the sticker under the hood, but Dakar was only available at that time as an individual choice,Is this an individual?
Does yours have an individual sticker under the bonnet on the nearside wheelarch? Is this an individual?
No mine is not an individual. on the car advertised it does not look like this one is too?Does yours have an individual sticker under the bonnet on the nearside wheelarch?
Not sure I agree, there are plenty of 2.2i made around 2001, 2002 in Dakar. I would love to know how many 3.0i were made in this colour, this is only the second I have seen.I havn't seen the sticker under the hood, but Dakar was only available at that time as an individual choice,
I bought a 2.8 new in Melbourne in 1998, in Dakar, and that had an "individual" sticker on it. I guess that BMW did as they felt like really! Especially when the model was getting on, and the z4 was on the way.No mine is not an individual. on the car advertised it does not look like this one is too?
That makes sense in 98 Dakar would have been a special order.I bought a 2.8 new in Melbourne in 1998, in Dakar, and that had an "individual" sticker on it. I guess that BMW did as they felt like really! Especially when the model was getting on, and the z4 was on the way.
