New youtube video and i think he has hit the nail on the head.... my zed has a new drive shaft (before i bought it) and this is the one. he made the perfect impression of my clunk time to get it sorted me thinks

What a very entertaining and informative video clip,made me laugh out loud a few times just with the noises the chap makes trying to describe the sound of the clonky backlash.
But just shows how even BMW garage can get things so wrong .
Since replacing my diff mount bush with a poly one the clonk seems to have gone and gear changes are smooth .

hah me too! he seems like a right character this guy, i reckon he would be a laugh at the pub


no it doesnt clunk under breaking, only when the clutch is pressed ans under acceleration.
looking on ebay the part is 35 quid so im going to order it now and just put a new one in properly
