All those hours watching Auntie Val on Blue Peter wasn't wasted then ?

Here's a pic of finished project. Rha,Roy.That looks very tidy Roy. Getting all that cooler air should make for some of the extra mpg?
Never actually worked on them as a fitter pg, but did maitainence and taught young lads to drive them for about ten years off and on, quite often getting stuck trying to follow the centurions and chieftains. Blooming good vehicle off road although not as good as the Stalwart.@Rha You ever worked on Land Rovers...Looks like the kind of mod we used to make.. Hope it works..

..................... cause I can't tell for sure unless I can find a way of monitoring the temp on the go
If you have access to INPA you can see the airflow temp but you would obviously need a before and after reading to make any real judgement.

There are so many factors to take into account to get accurate results it would be near impossible to do at home but not impossible for someone with the energy to tackle it! I can't see anything that you've done that wouldn't result in a cooler air charge entering the cylinders which allows more fuel to burn completely. That's why most cars will run better running in the cool dense air in the morning than they will in the heat of the day. Keep going you've got some great ideas. JIM
I've got witnesses.
Tony.
