I'm about to try and install a new zip in rear window in the Z3. Before I do, I'd first ask you if the only remaining issue with your problem is getting the right mirror so that you can use your key chain transmitter to open the car? Frankie
I think there is one or poss two, first being the canceling the block on coding new keys and testing my mirror as in fact there is no way to test but to either plug mine to working z3 or the other way round, lol

Ps i got a zipper kit of ebay i can scan instructions if u like. They point out to allign very carefully and nake sure the metal bit is reattached after. Thats next on my list too.

Half open position they say as well. I initially thought it made more sense when it is fully stretched. Let us know any niggles you come by.
