New windscreen fitted Friday. Sick of being completely blind in head on sun, due to scratches/stone chips.
I did get aftermarket from autoglass, people say only go oem so ill see how it goes, it has a lifetime warranty and it does 2k a year max.
Haven't driven it in low sun yet to comment on improvement. Getting a sun strip fitted though soon.

Will make a big difference as I had mine replaced recently by Autoglass due to a stone crack. Does the trim sit flush on the corners as mine's not but they said it will settle down over time, I'm not so sure it will?

Mine was cracked due to me hitting it with an axe =))
Seems to be sitting flush when I collected it. Ill check again when I get home

It is, I actually really like the smooth power delivery, its nowhere near as comfy or quiet at speed as my wifes E class but with the 1 pedal driving its a joy.

Plus I'm cheeky and use the free chargers round the corner overnight once a week so it doesn't actually cost me anything :smug:

Ooooooooh Davy's getting a train set for Christmas!!! A big one by the looks of it 😉. Like the Leaf - very green!!

Hope you are both keeping well. Let me know if you are heading over this way and we could meet up. My Z3 is sorn'd until April, so will need some excercise by then, so we can even do it legally.

Big boy toys haha, Azuma class 800. Not as fast as the z3 though 😄
I'm not on Facebook just now but I might activate it in 2 weeks to arrange a drive maybe 3rd weekend in April. I'll need to get mine sorted for then too

After the cars been sat since October I thought I'd wash it and give it a run so I'm ready to rock, come the good weather. Car would start and cut out immediately. Wouldn't stay running unless I gave it the beans and even then it sounded awful.

Took the cover off to find some lovely mould... Everywhere!
20210425_101022.jpg

Gave it a good clean inside and out then tried to find the running cause, couldnt see any split hoses initially, plus those were all new recently.
Borrowed a code reader from a z3 friend and eventually found a hose had split (idle control hose i think its labelled), so new one ordered for Wednesday from bmw for £28.

might have to seat it differently it looks like its been twisted a bit and torn.
Also discovered my powdercoated wheels with less than 2000 miles are peeling on 2 of the 4 wheels. No reply from the garage who done them yet but im not holding my breathe as it was 4/5 years since they were done.
20210425_110925.jpg

Cars looking decent now on the drive apart from that minging front saggy spoiler.
As I type this its started P*ssing down so the moisture will probably come back haha

Still needs a full respray but I have no Z3 money :dead:

Hi, looking to do something the same. I've got the little 3's in there too. I am struggle to find a guide on how to get into the box where they are;

I dont have bars, so I thought i could maybe just remove the top part with the seatbelt in? Can this be removed without removing the while center console?

Plan B, was just to cut around the existing speaker while in place. But would prefer the top part off so I could see what i was cutting onto! :)

Hmmm off the top of my head I cant remember where the screw is on the side of the centre storage box, I think you do have to remove it. You can see the screw on the outer side of the car.

Is there a guide to removing the centre part? Trawled you tube and couldn't find that either!! There was one about that, but it starts with it already off!! :)Looks like there is 2 screws to get the side off, but they are behind the centre part.. :/

That's all she wrote.
Had to watch today as the new owner collected it and then drove behind me teasing me for 10 miles before going our separate ways.
