Here comes the white stuff.

Nothing down here... but I am sure we might get a dusting... at some point..

I blame the government! Theyv'e done something to winter. Don't even get snow anymore?

Mike

I bet you were glad you found out he was ok before you saw the photo's, scary stuff.
Weather not looking too good over the next few days so take care everybody :)
I completely missed this Tony
Pleased Gary didn't suffer any thing too serious, and his boss.
Damn scary though, thank god the van had a bulk head fitted....something my van doesn't have .
At the risk of sounding divvy, would winter tyres have helped avoid that happening?

Steve

Not too much here - Got mine and another a short distance away covered in snow. A third Z4 and a local Z3 weren't to be seen,

About a mile away from home there was about 1"-2" of snow out on the open ground though.

Main rodas clear early on but it will take most of the day for ours to clear. Snow on the spoiler. Not adding any aerodynamic enhancements I'm sure.

Hi mate, yes from the feedback we get from customers, winter tyres really do give more grip especially on wet roads but also to a degree on icy roads too. I was going to get winter tyres on my Z4 but that will have to wait until next winter now.

Tony.

Its just that they are of a softer compound @t-tony with softer side walls, ran them all year round on the Z and never had tram lining problems, people say they wear out quickly but that was not the case for me but I was also not doing high mileage or to many motorway stints.
And on that bomb shell......

That's the reason that they work mate, my old boss had them on his wife's Skoda's Fabia and left them on all year. They're still on after 2 years, she does quite a few miles with her work too but not, as you said much motorway miles.

Tony.

They're still on after 2 years

Mine were on the car when I got it and were still on when I lost it. Getting into Bad ///Boy territory here, put about 5000 clicks on it during six years of ownership. When it went in for a service, my mate, the garage owner, asked if I ever got further than the end of my road.....
