Glad I am still driving on my chepo winter tires........

Interesting comments from Jenson Button, who finished 13th. The McLaren driver says the issues with tyres cannot continue.

He says: "We've had five tyres over the last few days, a big issue and something that needs to be sorted out. Don't change how you drive but of course it's on your mind. Happening at 300khp, like for Checo, it's not right. It's not just dangerous for the driver in the car, it's dangerous for all the other cars. The cars behind get hit by rubber that has metal in it. It's got to change. I don't think anything needs to be said. We all know the situation."

Very good qualifying and win for Rosberg...........
Great race, enjoyed it very much and Webber did a brilliant job, stick it to them mate....:beer

I felt sorry for vettel.
I feel sorry for my points total, as he was my main bet this year. That said, it's always a shame when things outside your control cause you to retire...

0911:

The marshals are still trying to move that stricken Ferrari out of the way. Fernando Alonso has had enough of hanging around and has jumped on the back of a moped bound for the pits.

0914:

It's all quiet out on track at the moment as the drivers seem content to sit in their garages and have a good old chinwag with their engineers. Over at Red Bull, team boss Christian Horner is deep in conversation with the team's advisor Helmut Marko.

He didnt see that coming... :nurse:

Looks like an unlucky deflection of a tyre jack, otherwise would have hit his legs.

Spot.........

BBC:
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner: "The most important thing today is that the cameraman who got struck by the tyre does not appear to have suffered serious injury.
"It's a timely reminder that working in the pit lane is dangerous. Everyone reacted incredibly quickly and the most important thing is to hear that he seems to be fundamentally OK."

1535:
We're hearing that Paul Allen, the cameraman who works for FOM, Formula 1's in-house broadcaster, has suffered a broken shoulder and cracked ribs. He's currently in hospital and under observation. Keep an eye on our story on the F1 pages which will be updated when we get more news.

1530:
It's been a long time since we've seen an engine let go in the way Marussia's Jules Bianchi's Cosworth unit did in during the German Grand Prix. The Frenchman did a good job of getting out of the car quickly, though, he probably didn't expect the car to roll backwards down the hill without anyone at the wheel.

1525:
Lotus boss Eric Boullier says his team "definitely" had the fastest car at the Nurburgring today. Unfortunately, they didn't quite get the strategy right to take victory, but a second and third is their best result since Bahrain, when they achieved the same result.
