Thank you for all your kind comments! The drive home was great fun, and the 3.0si engine makes a truly beautiful sound. I feel 17 again, with the use of the loud pedal!

Unfortunately, the very next day the passenger window regulator packed it in, so the doorcard has been whipped off and I'm replacing it myself. Kindly, the previous owner has agreed to split the cost of the repair, so it's not the worst news.

I'm not a fan of the 108's on the car, or in general, so I'm in the market for some nice new alloys and thinking of going down the black-on-black route, and it'd be a crime not to give the calipers a touch of yellow while I'm in that general vicinity!

Hi @David glad to know you found one, sorry about that. I'm loving mine too and I am not a great fan of the 108's either, but they will be staying on for this summer at least. You found one with great mileage. Mine feels lovely and tight still with 70,700 miles.

Thanks Bill, will give that and @Lee 's suggestion (via whatsapp) a go.

Out of interest, he's running 30psi rear/34psi front, on tyres/alloys the same size as ours.

So I reproofed the roof the other day, using Autoglym's roof cleaning kit, and I've just given the car a very quick wash this evening. The outcome is extremely satisfying to watch:

Top stuff, use it on mine

A mate gave me some a couple of weeks back as he hasn't got a soft top anymore. Must get round to putting it on.

Always used Autoglym on my Z3, the roof on the Z4 has only had a quick hoovering up to now but it might get some treatment before winter.

Tony.
