@Grumps, Hi Dave, I would be interested to know what route you would take from your place over to Grangeover. I've been up via the M6 many times, but I don't really like it although it's my quickest route from here near Derby. Do you go up the M1 then across towards the A65 ?

Long way round for you Ken but we do A1 Skirt by Wetherby and Harrogate then cut across through Skipton. Kirkbymoorside etc very scenic definitely our preferred route.

The 2020 Lake's Tour will be Friday 8th May, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th.

The same hotel as last year, the Cumbria Grand Hotel, South Lake's.

The C-in-C has kindly done the ground work again for us. A better deal this year by means of a Group Booking, this has reduced the price by circa £15pp per night.

Room Info.

£47pp pn.

Singles (no supplement)

1 night £47 DB&B
2 nights £94 DB&B
3 nights £141 DB&B

Doubles

1 night £94 DB&B+
2 nights £188 DB&B
3 nights £282 DB&B

Carvery Dinner each night and a full English for breakfast, or just Cornflakes etc.

There are no 'Tribute Bands' which has also reduced the cost a tad. It's a Bank Holiday Friday for info.

Yvonne has asked for 21 rooms to be set aside. The hotel will give us a maximum of 8 rooms with double beds, the remainder are twins or singles for the few coming on their tod.

Payments

Because its a Group Booking and its through the Hotel Group Booking system they require payment in full 21 days before the event and none refundable. No deposits.

The hotel group require a one off payment so we will collect that then pay it as a oner. I'll PM all those attending our details later.

I'm currently working on a couple of revised routes and stops, I'll put the link up once I've run both a couple off times to ensure all whey points are correct .......... less some do Hardknott Pass twice

Paul, I found a cracking route this year, up the A1 and take the Bedale turn off and stay on the A684 all the way accross to Kendall, its accross the Dales all the way
