Seeing as this thread is about stripped down Z's and my car is now closely related to @Sir Percival 's car in that it's wearing some of his removed panels, I thought I'd post a more flattering pic of a Z stripped down:

I think they look great without a 'hood' and that engine on show. Anybody know of a Perspex replacement?
Couldn't resist a couple more pictures of a naked zed!

I have a question for you....what exactly are the little vents on either side at the back for....the ones that look like the external wall vent from a cooker hood or a shower room....made of very, very soft rubber????

Haven't got a clue, I know they pull out easily though! Maybe they are for some sort of ventilation for the boot?

Some cars simply have them to release the pressure build-up when a door or boot or tailgate is closed. One of the first vehicles to have a bonded windscreen was the Talbot Horizon and It was common for the bonding to fail on the early models. When you closed the drivers door you could watch the windscreen jump up and fall back into place.

Here are a couple of pictures from when the car returned from its new body fit. It leaves again on Monday for paint.

Low Rider.....come and see it when it is back from paint (about 4 weeks) it's a bit manic at the mo.

Yep....Rosso Rubino....its a Ferrari colour but a bit darker, and less orangey, than the normal Rosso Corsa that was the colour in Ferris B, with beige interior and eventually a beige hood with a modified rear screen.
