Britain leaves the EU

and thats worse than being a pretend cloggy?

Easy smiffy old chap, I am English and proud of it, I just integrated into Europe and speak two languages, how about you?

Oh, and by the way, the Welsh man and me are good friends....

Having just returned from an amazing Zed meet in Europe. I was amazed at how many wanted to thank us for starting to upset the eu apple cart.

To quote. One family together working in harmony but each with his own ruling government. We are different and will always be so, but we will always be friends. One thing that stuck in my mind was the amount of people that shared the view that the EU control has got it completely wrong. We want to be a family but not as the elite want it.
Yo mate ever considered a career as a spin doctor coz our politicians could do with you now.:whistle:=))

we've always been and always will be a part of, and therefore integral in Europe. That is pure geography.

Governed, dictated to and controlled by the EU is different. We didn't vote on leaving Europe.

Languages, french is reasonable, spanish and italian a bit, danish enough to get me into trouble and enough arabic to get me out of trouble! (thankfully very rusty on that one now).

Lol you know that I can never agree with you,and you must of spoken to diffrent people than me on the weekend, It's impossible for me to see a way that we can be a force for the betterment of the whole of Europe as individual countries with our own petty policy's.and our attitude of I'm alright jack and envy of someone who seems to do well for themselves ,especially as we become a one party nation with little differences between them.Ive never thought I'd be a labour supporter but I just hope Jeremy Corbin can stand up to the rebels in his party and give the voters a real alternative.not one I like but at least it will be difrent as we are about to be shafted big time,by right wing ,selfish elites .I hope the EU goes on to greater and better things by not being shackled by us.unfortunately that will probably mean we will be in some deep s**t ,man I hope I'm wrong. £350 mill to the NHS perhaps not, cost to the country of BREXIT 350 mill every 2.5 days .less imigration to the uk no .a moderating voice on a government elected by only 11 million of our population No. But we've taken back control, you must be kidding.

Here's another thought for you ,I've seen a few post saying you've lost suck it up.its not as easy as that particularly as the vote was so close ,I'm sure you would feel the same if it were the other way.The difrence is just over 6 hundred thousand .If that many people voted because of what was written on the side of the bus or were just plain racist or did it just to stir things up I think I have a certain right to feel let down and cheated .

Particularly relevant as Brexit are now going back on the £350m per week for nhs and reducing number of immigrants.

Not sure how this all ends, but BoJo actions just amused me :) That's not something I've expected. Pretty interesting show I must admit!

The man never expected to win,but he would be a hero to euro sceptic tories and be the next leader maybe pm, but the vote and Cameron resigning put paid to that.We now have another ex journalist who can tell lies with a straight face just for fun and a politician that would privatise the NHS and schools running for pm .my god we reap what we sow.

I am not allowed to vote on general elections yet, but even on local not tory and not labours will get my vote. They all show their ugly faces, inconsistence, sides switching, lies, avoiding responsibility, you name it!

It seems to me they all (regardless of sides, remain or leave) just pushed referendum ahead only to calm general public and blackmail Brussel. Now no one is ready to take responsibility. There is simply no plan for leave. Shame, they must had have a plan at a day when referendum was announced.

@miller1098 I had to double take then.. I thought that nearly said.. I had to agree... phew... I would be hung for agreeing with a Welshman..

I can say that the European people I had the pleasure of meeting were all of the same mind.. some did not agree with the British leaving.. they wanted us to stay to help sort out the EU. But after a good discussion they did see why we voted the way we did.

Don't take it that we are all Far right idiots.. We are not.. we are though fed up with being told what we can and can not do.. and who we can and can not trade with. As a nation of Mariners and traders... we have been like the Dutch sailing the world and doing trade for hundreds of years.. and long should we be able to set our own course ....

I must say no one doubt the right of Britons to decide their future. Is it right decision or not - only time can tell. Where I can see a real problem now - it is how the situation develops. I'd being immigrant and citizen of EU obviously backed remain, but I'd be more happy if the formal steps to get out had been taken at a referendum day straight after results declared. I don't like uncertainty, and more important businesses and markets don't like uncertainty a lot more that I do. Now it is all dirty politicians and elites game, they surely will get what they want, the question is will general public get what they voted for. Where is bloody leaders who will sail this ship in the turbulent waters? Cameron and BoJo are out, labours in their own games, who will take the wheel and negotiate best possible exit strategy?

@ppavuk I am one of those who believe that our friends from around Europe bring a lot to the table here in GB. What we are wanting is to be able to govern ourselves without interference from a Glass box in another country which wastes a lot of money. ( Waiting for @miller1098 and his 20p worth comment ) Whilst I believe that some countries do need help, others do not but waste a huge amount of money. Take the airport in Spain which top gear visited.. Built with EU funding and then mothballed as nobody wanted to fly to it.. !!! so how does that work ?? a few 20p's there Hugh...

So please.. do not like the media are portraying.. we don't hate you and we don't want you to leave.. What we want is to be able to just do our own thing.. Its not too much to ask... but according to the press.. it is.. and the press is run by the large investment houses.. who make money from ... oh yes....

A little thing for you to ponder...

A big investment banker.. has a pot of gold.. he wants to have more gold... Oh lets cause a crisis and put it about.. Hey press man.. I own your company.. go bust or print my story... Government.. oh dam.. we need to borrow money .. Oh banks need to borrow too.. Hey Mr Investment Banker.. can I have some of your money... Oh yes.. you can.. but I need a few favours.. now those juicy contracts.. yes the ones which I can make a fortune from.. they are mine are they not.. oh go on then if you lend me that money... Corrupt system.. hmmmm.... lets keep the little people down and the wages too...

So we have ... the customer.. Mr IVB.... The mug...... the banks who lend from him..... the fools...... the governments... and the mugs... only this time.. they have seen you coming and want to stop the bloody racket...

RANT OVER.....

You should be a Welshman for a while you'd get used to it,and I quite like my neibours, I don't always agree with them but I can adapt and come to a understanding.without burning anymore holiday cottages ,and I have lost none of my nationality. And for a nation that exploited the rest of the world, that isn't going to be so easy this time around.lol

Hugh.... Well my mothers side of the family came from Elgin... my fathers side came from Wales and Ireland with a long long relative coming from Germany... I was born in England... so where does that put me then... ?? As for the rebellious streak.. that must be my Highlander blood coming through... :ymdevil::ymdevil:

Nice rant but I'm afraid it just shows the total difrence in how we view the EU.I see my MEP and others as ordinary people like you and me and that poor woman that was tragically killed a fortnight ago, trying to make the world a better place for us all ,not just our own country.I think that MEPs shouldn't be elected on party grounds but on their ideals,at the end of the day it is the MEPs who pass any legislation and we have a say in that! By the way I still stand by my 20 p ,but I don't always agree where it goes, and some mistakes are bound to occur just don't make to many of them and learn from them.

Hugh, if we were all the same.. there would never be any decent debates going on... Healthy discussion is always good and as they say.. a coin has two sides... Always good and enjoyed our banter on the euro run.. I look forward to a good discussion when I eventually get up to stay in your little abode..

I just dont like being governed by faceless corrupt bureaucrats that i cant vote out . I think the E.U will run into more problems financial in the future & we are better off getting out know before it all goes tits up
