Britain leaves the EU

But isnt that the point @miller1098 that most of the decisions are made by brussels who dont know us, dont know care what we want? They just tell us what its going to be. Ok they dont decide on everything but they do decide on what obv matters to most people.
Something needed to change and to vote out was the only option they gave us so take back some control.

Its just a shame that the EU had to wait for the UK Referendum to vote out before they decided that this meant they had to change there ways. Cameron put things on the table regarding the Free Movement and other items but they decided they would not allow the changes our Government wanted to make. If we had voted to stay in they would then of said well we dont need to change. This will be a big kick up the
A--E for them to now get their house in order. The trouble being we will no longer be part of the process to bring about the change. The richer countries in the EU no longer control what is right as they get vetoed by the poorer Countries. As they now hold the Majority JMO

This debate will go on for years, who knows what is going to happen! I remember the UK joining the EEC back in 1973 but I don't remember us joining the EU? I know when it came about but don't recall at the time any discussion about it, the EEC or EU as it is now is not what the country signed up for all those years ago, and if the UK did not join in 1973 would we now be scrambling to join it now? I think not, we as a nation must be confident in the abilities of this country to continue and prosper, the scare mongering on both sides is becoming tiresome. Lets not forget the people of the UK have spoken so make the most out of it get on with it and stop moaning, upward and onward.

Of what and at what cost.we are in the twenty first century,I think we're taking a step backwards.this feels like cutting your nose to spite your face .a bit extreme .The clothing factory I worked in 20 years ago moved to Malaya dispite a big Eu grant to modernise our factory.simple economics .

It's all very. Well saying get on with it.if you have been lied to you will feel cheated.when you are sold a product there are certain rules ,car ,tv ,double glazing you are supposed to have the right information or you go to court.dont let people get away with it .nobody likes being ripped off.especially when the company has gone out of business ,like Boris and Nigel

As i said in my previous post Hugh if it is something that will affect the poorer members then it will get voted against. Due to the fact their are not 15 wealthy states and more than 50% are poorer than the ones who may require change

What else can we do? Nobody listens and just puts it down to whinging, We can fill in protest forms, speak to the local MP for all the good it does, at least with consumer products your rights are clearly defined.

I was on two minds on which way to vote, but it is both a good thing and a bad thing, staying in the EU without all the bureaucracy would be a good thing but at the moment I think the best thing is to leave and take control of our own country, at least when whoever is in charge will have to take full responsibility for the mistakes and lies they spout, without blaming the EU.

Thank you Jim.

If the result had gone the other way we'd still be debating / arguing or whatever you want to call it. The truth is, no one knows how it's going to pan out.

Broken pre election promises are nothing new. How many past pre election promises have been kept to ?

Once the dust settles and the fogginess subsides, the future will be clearer.

eeerrrr 1, the promise that we can have a referendum =))

dont care that Nigel has gone, he was redundant anyway as we are now out. shame about Boris though. the problem we have now is if we have an out-er as PM the EU bigwigs see them as using Nazi style propaganda.

They might kick me out over here now and than I will have to go and live in @TaffZee's caravan, if I can get across the Welsh border...

I hate to state the obvious, but we are not out of the EU at this time. The only thing that has happened to date is a non-binding internal referendum which has indicated that the majority of the UK want to leave.

Well I voted out - as I seen the decision an double edge sword, the deal David got was not ratified - and could have been refused - the EU has high unemployment and debts - its a sinking ship.

However leaving has its own difficulties of the unknown - we dont know what we get - and trusting our new allected PM to get GB the best deal - and EU dont want to make the terms to favourable as everyone will want to leave.

There are two short videos that - I recommend you to watch

When they kick you out of NL my house here will be free too, so take a look at it. Midlands isn't that bad, btw. Of course we don't have this nice weed shops though!

Before I decided that I would like to see and work in the wider world, I worked for a British oilfield service company over here from 1989 to 2000. Before that I had worked for the Yanks.
They are still operating over here and are global, the head office is in Aberdeen.
They closed down their facility in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in the mid 1980's with the loss of all jobs, I wounder why?
