I bet it felt better with the H&R on, helps you to push it that bit further doesn't it?
The car feels a lot better with the H&Rs, a real treat to drive, next job is the rear beam bushes, not looking forward to that though!

unfortunately no sound ( or is that me?)
Unfortunately not, I edited it out as I pic up an awful lot of wind noise from the mic on the camera, I need to run a remote mic to either the engine bay or the rear of the car, not sure which.

The Fifth Gear camera crew ran the mic to the rear number plate recess on the side closest to the exhaust on my Z4. That picked up the exhaust pretty well without any wind noise I could hear on the show!

Sounds like a good plan Gary, would not be too hard to get a cable back there. I'll work on it for Donnington.

Do you remember which Fifth Gear show it was on Gaz?

What camera do you use?
I've got a gopro2.
Have been thinking about an external mic...no clue what would be a good one for little money.
Have also been thinking about a dashcam for my normal car. But was wondering if i could use these as extra camera when driving on track.

Update 12 - Zed Spares

I bought my zed.........a zed :)

I noticed a link in a thread last week, a guy was selling a 3.0 engine and gearbox with 36000 miles, it came with a few extras.

The whole rolling chassis, picked it up from Worcester this morning:) the doors in the picture were not included.

Best part is I paid £300.00 for the lot :)

Yes Tony, the car is a Cat C so bought for spares, could not pass up on the deal really, it was a real shame the car was written off as the damage could have been fixed quite easily.

Just read your progress report for the second time. Really impressed.
Thanks John, I've got a few additions to add, just need to find the time to write I up.

Update 13 - MOT Time.

Well 14 years of salt and grime has taken its toll on the rear brake lines, I need to replace both for my MOT so got around to replacing them. Luckily I had some copper pipe, flaring tool and hose fittings from a job on another car a few years ago.

Removal of the rear pipes was easy enough with the car up on axle stands, the pipes a re quite complex to bend and get right!

My efforts below.

Quite impressed really, both fit first time :), once fitted I bled the brakes and checked for any signs of fluid leaks. Just got a few bushes to sort out on the front end to do this week.
