Yeah they are show hoops. No protection but some like the look of them and it does save having to change the plastics.

If you were to roll the car with those on, they might cause the occupants a nasty injury as they break away.:(

I have a set of these fitted and they are immensely strong, If you bounce hard enough to break these the occupants are going to be in no state to care. ⚰

yep I have them too, as for the loss of cubby errr what would fit in there anyway other than a sub, mine just got full of little bits and bobs that I seem to collect on the passenger seat. passenger seat is now full so it wouldn't have gone in the cubby anyhow, or I would have to empty it just to re-fill it with much the same rubbish.

oooh, I take all that back as I just realised my cubby is in the shed after I took it out for a sub test fit, didn't bother refitting as I always think what have I left in there under my hoops =))

But you will loose access to the top cubby storage
It looks like it might with the bar section. Hard to see where it runs accross but that was my first thought. Style over substance perhaps but looks a happy medium.

On a pre facelift car with no roll bars fitted there should be an embossed circular shape on top of each outer turret. Drill these out with a tank cutter and straight down through a thick layer of polystyrene to expose the sockets for the roll bar. About 5 minutes each side and the bar is on.

I keep 2 things in mine. A small bottle of tomato ketchup and a small bottle of Pepsi Max. Both of these are vital for emergency stops at the chippie :)

With respect I hope we are not having a Mary Whitehouse moment here? Have the doubters ever inspected or fitted a set of these roll bars?

The under bonnet strut braces are only connected at each side but the accepted wisdom for them is that they really stiffen the front end up.
