Hi guys and gals

I have had an initial response from the silverstone organisers, as a result of my visit. I am going to post it un-edited both here and in the Horwood house threads. If I have done it wrong moderators please educate me ( I am eager to learn) here as it is relevant to this thread and in the Horwood house thread as it affects the possible times of cruise to and or from the circuit. And it should help people with planing what they want to do.

"Track activity on Friday is race qualifying which is scheduled to end around
19.05. The evening concert is headlined by Mike & The Mechanics. Saturday
lunchtime is the scheduled slot for the Zfest track parade. Racing goes on
into the evening with Group C dusk race ending at 21.05. The evening concert
is headlined by Adam Ant. Racing on Sunday finishes at 1800hrs. Racing on
all days starts at 0900.

All infield display cars should be in place by 0900hrs."

Regards
Duncan
Ps I still think I have more details to get and will now that I have the contact sorted properly

Making the point of the infield display cars these are the cars that are on show by the bmwcc and we can arrive there at any time assuming you are not showing your car. I checked this for Jonttt when he said he would arrive late and was worried about not being able to get in. So in theory you can drive in anytime and park up with all the other bmw`s in secure parking and not public car park. ;)

There wont be enough time for breakfast at the hotel.

I will be detailing the car instead.

Bacon bap on site and a coffee sounds great.

glad you got that swamper, bit difficult to explain in detail. Yes the cars will kind of be on show, but we are not deemed to be there by 9 am , only the selected ones like the bmwcc guys cars for instance need to be in place. ;)

I am really glad the infield display sort of makes sense! The clarification is timely as I was about to start talking about who wanted the grab and go that has been offered and who wanted an early breakfast of the hotel thread. I did notice though that the racing starts at 9:00 as well.

I would be happy, as the drive around the track is not until lunchtime, to have a nice breakfast, tidy the car and have a chat to some of the guys, as you will probably not see each other at silverstone as its so big, and get to silverstone about 10-30 am. :coolsteer) That could be arranged to drive in all together at a specific time. :-? Just a thought. ;)
