I would be happy, as the drive around the track is not until lunchtime, to have a nice breakfast, tidy the car and have a chat to some of the guys, as you will probably not see each other at silverstone as its so big, and get to silverstone about 10-30 am. That could be arranged to drive in all together at a specific time. :-? Just a thought.

Is much due to happen on the Friday? Reason being I'm on a sleazy jet on the Sat with gf and my 3 children off to lake Como. I did consider joining Gf on the Monday but she gave me one of those looks......

In my opinion Friday will probably be the more socializing day with everyone arriving from all over and meeting up. Friday night will be the build up to Saturday's event and the drive there, seeing all those zeds together and the lap but everyone will want their own experience of Silverstone with some staying late to enjoy the concerts some drifting off back to hotel and some prob going home. Why don't you arrive Friday and leave mid afternoon Saturday as we're doing the lap lunch time, does that work in with yr other plans. You cannot miss this event, it will be a long time coming again .....if ever.

Just booked for Saturday & Sunday - are there any others planning on driving down from the North West on the Saturday morning? (or perhaps meeting up somewhere nearer the circuit...?). Or am I right in thinking most are planning to make the trip on the Friday? :-?

A lot are probably going Friday but there's no reason why you can't link up with a convoy going to Silverstone on the Saturday morning, it's going to mean an early start for you on Saturday though.

The main convoy is probably going to be from Horwood but we're linking up with it at some point on its route to Silverstone.

HT is the point you are making about it being £45 advance or using CC it's £55??
The £45 is each ticket whereas the £55 package is for 2 people and a vehicle pass.. so a considerable saving.

If I do manage to make this and believe me, I would love to, what is the cost of an infield display parking pass?
Or is that only possible if you are a member of the BMW car club, amongst a couple of others?
