Lewis Hamilton could barely bring himself to make eye contact with team-mate Nico Rosberg following qualifying today. There was no handshake after the session, no arm around the shoulder from Hamilton for the top three photo.

The 2008 world champion even kept his answers short in the news conference. Very short. Perhaps he'll do his talking on the track tomorrow.

If he merely made full advantage of a genuine mistake, ok. I'm not convinced that he did. That means Lewis now knows the gloves are well and truly off for the rest of the season.

I would like to see some more footage from outside the car to see what was going on with the rear tyres. He did go right down the escape road so was a shame they kept the yellows going. He doesn't seem the kind of guy to pull a stunt like that to me. Only he knows the answer :)

I understood that he started to reverse back up the escape road? If so they would keep the yellow flags out. Always a shame when something like this clouds an event.

My problem is....... I have to avoid TV and Radio etc. until 5.05 pm because I don't have Sky sports. So I guess it's out to the garage I the morning, wash the Z and Hoover it out. Put some more nasty grilles on etc. and generally avoid finding out who won the GP. Years ago when Frank Bruno fought Mike Tyson I had avoided the news all day so I could watch the fight later in complete ignorance. Unfortunately my late brother rolled up late on the Sunday got out of his car and the first words he spoke,"Poor old Frank" Bugger.:)

As they are in the same team, Hamilton will be able to see the telemetry readings of Rosbergs car.
He will be able to see if Rosberg slammed on the brake or adjusted the brake balance wrong (and did that on purpose), or if he just overcooked the turn.
But they won't tell the public.

Well there were some interesting bits and bobs going on in that race.
Hamilton with something in his eye, Button sending Perez into the wall just after the start, Vettel out on lap eight, Maldonado not cashing as he did not go anywhere and a few more.
Raikkonen is not doing me any good for points this season

Having just finished watching the highlights on Beeb1, that was a real bag of spanners in my predictions. A whole bunch of interesting manoeuvres and Hamilton suffering from an eye problem at the end... Did Rosberg install an eye poking device in his helmet when he wasn't looking. More conspiracy theories!

Be interesting to see how the league table ends ups as a result.

The Top Dog for Monaco is…

upload_2014-5-25_20-56-15.png

I think the biggest party in Monaco will be at Marussia, the minnows scoring their first ever points in Formula 1 since joining the sport in 2010. A very impressive drive from Jules Bianchi.
