No brake news, I have the parts, just no need until closer to track day.

I promised myself I'd get the manifold conversion done over the Christmas break, well, I've started and opened the box up!

Just got to find time to do it now!

Nice...
Is that an ECU from the eBay seller doing them for £100 - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/142632959437

The handwriting looks familiar:)

Was late my the time I finished, cold, wet and dark (gritter was out), so didn't have much of a chance to gauge the difference, but the redline has certainly been upped.

Nice work Andy, too cold for that sort of job for me just now. Hope you're happy with the fruits of your labour mate!

For anyone wondering ...... e36 M3 brakes do not fit on a 2.8 z3!

Might keep and get some front struts, but will more than likely pop the lot on eBay. Gutted!

To make these fit you will need the knuckle joint that has the wheel bearing.

I have the complete set being painted and going on mine in the summer.

Is that all it needs? I have had a quick look online and they aren't expensive new. I just don't want to chase around getting more and more elements for what isn't a huge upgrade on my 3.0 brakes that are already fitted (the discs look so good though!)

Did you trial fit @Jjim ?

Haven’t trial fitted yet. But did some research and this has been fine on lots of E36 conversions.

Also compared all part numbers on Z3M, Z3, E36 and E36 M3. Looks like the wheel hub and knuckle will swap straight over and then the calipers and discs will fit.
