Renault do the best candy red IMO, I just don't think it would suite a Z3 as its a bit too modern for the retro curves

I think the same about the orange .

Anything too metallic or bright ages the zeds in my eyes

Had a great day on the zed today, spent most of it on my back though, the N/S inner sill is now fully fitted so thats the welding done, also started stripping the rear ready for the beam removal, got the exhaust off, removed the spare wheel carrier and cracked off all the major bolts, removed the 4 hex bolts as well,

Oh forgot to ask, can someone point me towards a how to for the rear end drop, @Lee

Trolley Jack under the Diff. Sean and gently release it down to the floor.
Might be wise to have a hand available when putting it back unless you put it back in pieces which, from what I've read, is the easiest way.

I am planning on dropping it in one but building it in 3, I could do with a general thread as what needs removing such as prop shaft and the likes

I see. @Steve Medlock did a good write up Sean, he did his like you are on stands I'm sure. You'll need to disconnect both h/brake cables at the lever, prop. shaft at the Diff. flange. Brake pipes, top shocker mounts. When you get it down I'd bet on needing an air punch to get the driveshafts out of the hubs.

Yes mate. All the BMW I've ever done the splines appear to be stuck in with some compound.

stayed for an hour after work and its out, don't know what I was worrying as its quite an easy job, just got to get it stripped and off to the powder coaters, I assume when putting it back the beam goes in first then the diff, @Lee
