Got the front end all on and polybushed ready for the wheels including new abs sensors.
Gave the AP coilovers a bit of paint too all fitted with stainless bolts

Next up is the rear just waiting for the fuel tank straps to come back.

Hi from the weathers getting warmer and the snow's stopped falling Canada. You are really putting the right effort into this project. And it shows!! It's going to be pretty awesome to see completed. Will it be at silverstone? JIM
Frankie, outside chance I will be able to make the trip as it stands right now, Trinity and my wife are going to Chile for July and August and I may need to help my son on his job.

Thought I'd bring my thread back from the dead been slightly busy the last year or two but starting to get cracked on again. I have had the zed running with the charger on and it sounds awesome! At the minute it's all stripped off again while I get the bottom pulley balanced.
I'm aiming to get the interior back in over the next couple of weeks, here's a pic of my console which is wrapped in black brushed aluminium vinyl.

I've also been working on some seats, I wanted something a bit different and modified some S2000 seats to fit in. I've managed to keep the BMW pretensioners and I'm in the process of dying them in BMW black as the centres were originally red. What's your opinions I think they'll suit the zed matching in with the roll hoops and look a bit more sporty than the standard seats. (Really wish I didn't sell my M seats tbh)

Glad to have this thread resurrected Daz! Personally like the seats, I'm considering switching my seats for more comfortable ones, so good to see what alternatives there are.

:D It has been on the road for a year or two in between phases. I'm determined to get it back on the road this year! Thanks Gaz the seats were a pita to get fitted but hopefully worth it!

Those seats will look like they've always been there Daz. I like the gear lever surround, I never managed to find one for my Z3 though. If you're on the road by September there's a meet here if you are free.

If I'm on the road which I hope I am I'll be there, I think this will be the last major modding phase of the zed I just wanna drive it now! Parts seem hard to come by now for the zed. I'd really like some more z3m seats or the newer style sports seats but just never see them come up and the last M seats I saw went for nearly a grand!

So fitted the s2000 seats today they look ok in the zed but I still want some more M seats! Just need to source a dashboard now then I can finish the interior. Next thing is to put the charger back on now the radiators modified and make up the pipe work to the throttle body. Then it'll be road test time!

Driving position height wise is great just seem a bit more offset to the wheel than normal but I couldn't get them any further over. Will have to see what there like when it's all dropped back down and dash in.

So I've progressed a little bit more all the interior is now in and airbag light reset. Just the pesky abs light to get rid of now. The charger and radiator are now in and lined up so I've made a start on the inlet pipe run and got the recirculating valve positioned, it's all getting a bit tight now ;) hopefully I'll have a video of it running to upload by the end of the weekend although it won't be all piped up as I'm waiting for some more silicone hoses.

Thanks Tony, forgot to add can anyone point me in the direction of a diagnostic kit I'd like to get inpa as the Peake reader I have doesn't talk to the abs? Also is there any guides to using it?
