Earlier we asked whether a group stage exit represented underperformance for England.
Thousands of you voted and 61% of you believe it would. However a sizeable number of you see an England's exit before the knockout stage - which would be the first time in a World cup since 1958 - as par.
Thank you for all your votes.
Problem is after a result like that no one at work is buzzing as they would be after a win. Remember when England beat Germany at home (3-1?) everyone was talking about it the next day but in a positive way. It won't be like that tomorrow.

All I will say is that it was poor.
England are just an average team.
We dream of doing better and the press hype it up.
We are ranked 9 or 10 in the world so it's to be expected.

They think it's all over, it is now: Costa Rica beat Italy to send England home after just two games...their worst performance at the World Cup since 1958
- Costa Rica upset the odds, beating the Italians 1-0 after a 44th minute header by Bryan Ruiz
- England have been eliminated after failing to beat Italy and Uruguay in the their two opening fixtures
- It is the first time since 1958 that England have been knocked out in the tournament's group stage

There's still an important game to play yet though to see if we can win one. This time leave out Rooney and Gerard and give two more of the kids a chance to play in the world cup.
1990 really was the last time I enjoyed watching the world cup and that's the truth.

I reserve my judgement on Hodgson till after the Euro's. By then he should have had the last of this old guard and be able to field a completely new team. At least I hope he will.
